Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Vancouver has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.
Here is the fourth of many places that I have visited recently. Bacchus Lounge is located inside the Wedgewood Hotel downtown Vancouver.
In their Lounge, Afternoon Tea is served on Saturday and Sunday. You’ll want to make sure that you make an advance reservation as they often fill up, bring along a friend or two or three to join you in the experience.
My friend and I each had their Royal Afternoon Tea service for $41 per person. First off, we were served a glass of Sumac Ridge Tribute Blanc de Blanc (BC) then I chose my tea of choice from their selection of 8 teas from T, I had the “Thunderbolt Darjeeling” and my friend had the “Pear Tree Green”.
My thoughts – From the moment we arrived the hospitality was superb, our server Vanessa was wonderful and this made for a gracious afternoon tea experience. Cozy and quaint the elegant surroundings made you feel right at home especially if you are able to sit by the nice fireplace. The service was amazing, the pastries were outstanding and the tea service was delightful. The Teas are from T in Vancouver.
The other Tea Service offered is the Afternoon Tea at $31 per person
