The Art of Giving Afternoon Tea at Bangkok Trading Post

Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Vancouver has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.

A wonderful and delicious The Art of Giving Afternoon Tea experience at the Bangkok Trading Post in the 137 Pillars Hotel in Bangkok that is the work of an autistic artist who created a beautiful design.

Lawrence joined me and we started off with a selection of Monsoon Teas, I had the Mangosteen Anchan Oolong while he had the Five Colours. We were also served a delightful welcome drink, Citrus peach harmony. There are various aspects of this experience which are part of the art of giving and each food item in inspired and explained.

We were then served a 3-tier tray filled with scones, savouries and sweets.

My favorites were:
the Matcha and Orange Scones as well as the Plain scones that was served with clotted cream, Lychee and Mulberry jams.

Savoury:
‘Support’ Salmon Parfait with Ikura on crispy raspberries
and
‘Equality’ Baked Lobster, crab meat and fennel in savoury tart topped with cheddar cheese

Sweets:
‘Imagination’ Green tea mousse with red bean filling, glazed with colourful vanilla
‘Gifted’ Halzelnut praline with dark chocolate base
‘Self’ Yuzu and Citrus cream nestled in coconut dacquoise with a meringue tart
