Best Savoury Dishes of 2025 in Vancouver

I have eaten a lot of dishes inside and outside Vancouver restaurants in the past year, these are dishes that are standouts, ones that you remember for a long time to come. This list is devoted to my favourite dishes that I have eaten in 2025 at restaurants that are still open to this day.

Note: These are not in any ranking order

 Tandoori Sockeye Salmon

I loved this Indian spiced, flavourful and colourful dish that celebrates BC salmon.

Bluefin Tuna Tartare

This was a stunning dish with wonderful flavours where these ingredients white soy chili, asian pear, endive, cucumber hibiscus granita, and tobiko shine through.

Chef Rob Feenie

Le Crocodile by Rob Feenie is located at 909 Burrard St #100, in downtown Vancouver. You can follow them on instagram @lecrocodilerestaurant 

Malvani Black Chickpea Stew

Loved this unique chickpea dish in a caramelized coconut and onion sauce served with wade (fried bread) for dipping.

Pacific Salmon

A beautiful dish with Extra virgin olive oil-compressed fennel, cauliflower; where the server pours the dashi beurre monté over the salmon at the table.

Chef Clement Chan

The Apron is located inside the Westin Wall Centre Hotel in Richmond at 3099 Corvette Way, Richmond. You can follow them on instagram @apronyvr 

Pisto Boquerones

Just before I travelled to Spain I enjoyed this dish locally that had anchovies overtop a delicious traditional warm Spanish vegetable medley.

Japanese Tiger Prawn with Lobster Tom Yum

This dish was divine with the flavourful Thai Tom Yum curry.

Baan Lao is located at 4100 Bayview Street in Richmond in the Steveston area, you can follow them on instagram @baanlaosteveston

Murgella Buratta

Loved the premium Italian fresh cheese known for its creamy stracciatella center that was served with a pea & basil purée, pistachio crunch, pumpkin seeds, tomato foam, and a drizzle of basil oil.

Chef Behshad Zolnasr

C Prime Modern Italian Steakhouse & Wine Bar is located at 1015 Burrard Street (inside the Century Plaza Hotel); you can follow them on instagram @cprimesteak 

Halibut

Outstanding halibut dish served on a bed of pea risotto and garnished with herb oil.

Albacore Tuna + BC rice duo

An incredible dish with rice (grown in Abbotsford by Masa Shiroki) and local tuna loin and tuna done as a tartare.

Duck pastilla

Fine pastry that was loaded with tasty spiced pulled duck confit.
