New Italian hot spot opened recently in the Olympic Village neighbourhood by the Casereccio foods team. They are known for their house-made pastas and so much more. Here you not only have delicious pastas, pizza, cakes and pastries, you also have award winning gelato by Maestro James.

The restaurant features seating both inside as well as outside on the patio. Cases are filled with baked goods, sandwiches, pastas, pastries and more. You can find the gelato case offering to the rear of the cafe.

We visited to try some of their menu items which included the Caprese salad with focaccia; Polpette panini focaccia featuring the house-made beef meatballs, red sauce and cheese; Radiatori rose pasta which was outstanding. The Vegetarian Lasagna; Pacifica Pizza – one of their signatures topped with smoked salmon, greens and more.

We tried some of their desserts including the Pistachio pastry filled with strawberry, Tiramisu; and the Gelato – 3 flavour cup which included me favourites: Pistachio, Sour Cherry and Straticella.

It was a zero-proof night for us and I had the Negroni while Lawrence an Aperol spritz.
The restaurant is licensed and offers a selection of cocktails as well as beer.
Onda is located at 1610 Salt Street in Vancouver.
