I recently spent some time test driving the Acura ADX 2025 between North Vancouver and Squamish while visiting some new and not so new restaurants as well as an overnight stay.

Most people know that Dope Bakehouse (650 Mountain Hwy, North Vancouver) was a spinoff from Nemesis Coffee as it’s bakery and they recently opened a stand-alone location in North Van that’s close to Highway 1. I visited where I got to sit and watch their bakers in action while enjoying a Cardamom bun and Espresso with milk.

The ADX moves away from traditional physical dials, featuring the 10.2-inch Acura Precision Cockpit™ as standard across all trims.
- The Display: The “odometer” is part of a fully digital high-definition instrument cluster. It is highly customizable, allowing you to toggle between traditional round gauge layouts or a more minimalist, “bar-graph” style.
- Information Density: In addition to the digital odometer and speedometer, the screen displays real-time AcuraWatch™ safety data, navigation turn-by-turn directions (on higher trims), and media information.
The Steering Wheel features:
Design: The base trim comes with a leather-wrapped wheel, but the A-Spec and A-Spec with Advance trims upgrade this to a sport-styled flat-bottom steering wheel. This design provides more thigh clearance and a more aggressive, performance-oriented aesthetic.
Controls: It features high-quality physical buttons (not haptic touch) for audio, voice commands, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Paddle Shifters: Standard on all models, these allow you to “shift” through simulated gears in the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), giving you more control during spirited driving.
Feel: The steering uses a dual-pinion electronic power steering system, which is tuned to feel light in parking lots but firms up significantly when you switch into Sport mode.
From North Vancouver to Britannia Village, just South of Squamish it was a smooth drive and we were there in under an hour.

We visited Autostrada Oyster Bar (115 Main St, Britannia Beach) for a delicious lunch. This restaurant keeps it’s Italian roots and widens the scope serving up a variety of seafood selections in addition to the pastas they are known for.

We shared these dishes Italian Burrata Peperonata, The Forager burger, Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, Spring salmon, Onion Rings, Salad, and Chef Lucas’s mothers Carrot cake to finish.

We then visited Squamish Canyon which was about a 15 min drive North East of Brittania Village, it is a great new attraction in the area for enjoying the great outdoors, scenery, walking through the forest, taking in the waterfalls and more. This is a great idea for families of all ages, or the one adult that wants a break from the city.

For dinner we visited House of Lager (37010 Village Cres, Squamish) a recently opened eatery in a newly developed area near downtown and had some zero proof beers along with these tasty dishes Beet and goat cheese salad, Albacore tuna tataki, Focaccia, Braised Aaa beef short rib, Maple glazed Brussel sprouts and Avocado and edamame smash with added herb grilled chicken with side of roasted red pepper soup.

We stayed the night at the Executive Hotels Resort and Spa Squamish (40900 Tantalus Rd, Squamish) which features large rooms and suites along with a full kitchen for all who would like to do their own cooking, they also have dining on site, a pool and hot tub, fitness centre and so much more.

The Stereo and audio experience ranges from “solid” to “concert-grade” depending on the trim level.
- Base/A-Spec Audio: These trims come with an 8-speaker Acura Premium Audio system that provides clear, balanced sound for everyday commuting.
- The Bang & Olufsen Upgrade: The top-tier A-Spec with Advance package features a bespoke 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen® premium sound system.
- Acoustic Lens Technology: Includes tweeters designed to disperse high frequencies evenly throughout the cabin.
- Beosonic™ Interface: Instead of just “Bass” and “Treble,” you can use a one-touch visual wheel to adjust the mood of the music (Bright, Energetic, Warm, or Relaxed).
- Connectivity: All stereos are paired with a 9-inch touchscreen that supports Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.

The next morning we drove to the Crab Apple Cafe (41701 Government Road, Brackendale) for a delicious breakfast and had the Garden Hash, Avocado toast and tofu scramble and the Eton Mess pancake before hitting the road to drive back to the city.
I really enjoyed the Acura ADX 2025 was a great car to drive around the city as well as the highway to Squamish.
