Vancouver Iced Summer Drink Challenge

Welcome to the next Vancouver Iced Summer Drink Challenge. I have invited cafes from all over the city to enter their Iced Summer Drink creations into this challenge, some have entered their most popular creation from their menu and others created a special Iced Summer Drink creation just for this challenge. Each cafe and restaurant will be featuring one their creations on their menu from August 7-31, 2025.

How Does this all Work? For the public challenge, you are invited to go out and order any or all of the Iced Summer Drink creations in this challenge, then you decide who you think has the best creation for the People’s Choice award winners. 

Share your experiences: Share your photos on Instagram and TikTok throughout the challenge, our instagram and TikTok address is @vanfoodster and the hashtag is #IcedSummerDrinkChallengeYVR please include this hashtag in all your social media sharing during the challenge.

Voting criteria –  some things to help you judge your favourite iced summer drink creations – keep these things in mind: originality, creativity, uniqueness, traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste.

  1. Look for our Iced Summer Drink challenge posters at each of the participating cafes,.
  2. Scan the QR code and Vote for your favourites from August 7-31, 2025.

Get some friends together and visit 2 places or more to taste the different Iced Summer Drink creations or go solo or with a friend– just remember to VOTE for your favourites

Summer Matcha Nog

Say hello to Xmas in August! A creamy oat‑nog base ribboned with chocolate, followed by a vivid jewel‑green matcha layer suspended above, and capped with a cloud of coconut whip lightly dusted with cocoa. The drink starts mellow and chocolatey, then brightens as matcha lifts the finish, while the chill stays distinct to keep every sip refreshing. It is equal parts eye‑catching and satisfying—perfect for a summer‑heat cool‑down.
