First Taste of Grano Pizzeria Napoletana

The new Plant-based Italian pizzeria that opened today is a collaborative effort between the owners of Via Tevere Pizzeria (brothers, Dom and Frank Morra) and another partner who is a close family friend (nutritionist, Lindsay Wood).

The bright white walled interior room is licensed for 34 seats, and offers table-service, along with takeout. The Neapolitan duomo gas oven can cook up their pizzas in minutes.

They are offering a great line-up of all plant-based pizzas, along with some salads, and a selection of antipasto and desserts. For beverages they will be offering local craft beer, BC and Italian wines, some classic Italian cocktails and sodas along with kombucha on tap.

I tried a selection of food, and desserts, I loved the additive House-made Focaccia along with the Arugula salad.

Capricciosa pizza

I tried a selection of their pizzas, one of each of the different base sauces, my favourite was the Radicchio pizza (roasted garlic based), followed by the Zucca pizza (olive oil base) and then the Capricciosa pizza (tomato base).

I also tried some of their desserts as well including the Tiramisu, Pistachio Cannoli and Lemon Pana Cotta.
