Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Victoria has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.
Pendray Tea House is located inside the Huntingdon Manor in Victoria which has been welcoming guests for over 6 years.
I was joined by Lawrence and we had their Westcoast Tea Service for $64 per person.
I had the Emperor Sencha green tea and he had the Geisha Blossom.
To start we were served a delicious cup of their Crab Bisque.
The 3-tiered tray served featured an assortment of gourmet finger sandwiches on the bottom plate that featured Smoked salmon pinwheel, Shrimp salad, Cucumber & Lemon dill cream cheese, Seared Tuna.
The middle plate featured the Freshly-Baked Pumpkin Scones and the Earl Grey scones; Devonshire Cream, and house-made strawberry jam.
The top plate featured a selection of pastries and sweets; House-made Profiterole swan, Matcha green tea & jasmine delice, Macarons and Chocolate caramel Layer Cake.
My thoughts – From the moment we arrived the hospitality was superb, our server was wonderful and this made for a gracious afternoon tea experience. Cozy and quaint the elegant surroundings made you feel right at home. I loved the Shrimp Salad toastie and the Smoked salmon pinwheel, the scones were both very good amd the Matcha green tea & jasmine delice, and Chocolate caramel Layer Cake were divine.
