Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Vancouver has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.
Neverland Tea Salon is situated in the Kitsilano neighborhood where it has been welcoming guests for over 5 years.
I was joined by Lawrence and we had their Traditional Afternoon Tea Service for $38 per person. They also offer a Vegan, Vegetarian and a Gluten-Free tea service as well as a Childrens tea service. You can get the Bubbly Tea service for an extra $10 adding a glass of rose or sparkling wine.
I had the Orange Blossom green tea followed up with the Orange Pekoe black tea
The 3-tiered tray served featured an assortment of gourmet finger sandwiches on the bottom plate that featured toasted ciabatta, toasted croissant with truffle mushroom and brie cheese, lemon herb mascarpone cream cheese sandwich, tarragon chicken sandwich, chickpea sandwich.
The middle plate featured a selection of pastries and sweets; pistachio and cherry mousse cake, mocha cheesecake on fudge brownie, blood orange & grapefruit tart, chocolate cake with raspberry butter cream.
The top plate featured the Freshly-Baked Citrus Scones; Devonshire Cream, and house-made strawberry jam.
My thoughts – From the moment we arrived the hospitality was superb, our server Dante was wonderful and this made for a gracious afternoon tea experience. Cozy and quaint the elegant surroundings made you feel right at home. The toasted croissant with truffle mushroom and brie cheese was my favourite from the bottom plate, the colourful pistachio and cherry mousse cake was my favourite from the middle tier and I loved the delicious scones.
