Advice: Walkins welcome, advance reserverations for Kamayan.

Okay Na Okoy

Tamarind Chicken

With it’s focus on Filipino cuisine, Rose Samaniego, owner has created a wonderful menu of dishes at this newly opened eatery. Asides from their offering the traditional Kamayan feast (must be booked at least 2 days in advance with a minumum of 6 people) where people eat from banana leaves with their hands, no utensils. Their mainstay are traditional dishes which are designed for sharing; I loved the Okay Na Okoy with sweet potatoes, carrots and shrimp as well as the Tamarind Chicken which was fried and served with tamarind sauce on the side and optional white rice.

Pork Bbq

Batil Patong

Tried the Pork Bbq as well as the spicy, Batil Patong, a dish with stir fried egg noodles, pork belly, cabbage, carrot, bean sprouts, and ground beef.

Ginataang Kalabasa

Kare Kare

Loved the outstanding Ginataang Kalabasa – Squash, green beans, eggplant in coconut milk sauce; as well as the popular Kare Kare djsh that is made with Beef and vegetables with shrimp paste.

If you are looking to experience Filipino cuisine with or without friends then this is a great way to do so, they also offer up a daily brunch and have some fusion dishes on the menu such as Ube Pancakes which I am hoping to try on my next visit.
