A couple of weeks ago, I attended the annual Canadian Health Food Show at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This show saw food producers and suppliers from across North America and the world showing their products to mostly natural food retailers. It’s the largest show of its kind in Western Canada, 750 booths filled with all sorts of snacking foods, vitamins, wellness and more.
Walking the aisles I saw a multitude of products and tasted my way around trying the tasty snacks and such, these are some of the products that stood out for me.
Love the red and black Laiki Rice Crackers, new was Honey Water naturally sweetened with honey, Biena Snacks introduced their deliciously crunchy roasted Chickpea Snacks, Skinny Pop introduced mini cakes featuring a selection of flavours from salty to cinnamon; tried this for the first time the Maple 3 water selection, Popcorn Indiana featured some of their popular snacks; Vita Coco pure coconut water featured some of their refreshing flavours; had a chance to try some of the new Paqui flavoured snacks; tried some of the Seattle Chocolate line-up of chocolates; Lastly Oatmega grass-fed whey protein bars and cookies were a great new product addition.
Local Persian Saman Bakery featured their Sangak breads along with their cookies and crackers, the Sun Butter was a good alternative butter and went well on this bread; the selection of Natura almond milk came in a few sizes and it was the perfect milk to go with Bob’s Red Mill flavours of Muesli, lastly Victoria’s Level Ground Trading showcased a variety of products including their tasty dried fruit selection.
Canadian Health Food Show is produced by the Canadian Health Food Association.
