An elegant lounge inside the Rosewood Hotel Georgia features a selection of tasty plates from Executive Head Chef Harold Lemos and his team. Our server Vanessa Viliano took great care of me and my friend Zahra while we tasted some cocktails and dishes. Zahra had the Hotel Georgia cocktail while I had an Elemental Martini, the cocktails were the perfect accompaniment for the tasty Soft Pretzels with their house-made beer cheese.
We then shared some of their plates including the tasty and colourful, North Arm Farms Roasted Beet & Apple Salad; the Baked Polenta with goat cheese was a wonderful vegetarian offering and one of my favourite dishes of the night.
The Chicken ‘pot’ Pie was kind of deconstructed and a delicious one with Rossdown Farms chicken, creamy veloute, and a lemon thyme biscuit on top; we also loved the Pan-Seared Kuttera Salmon Fillet and the Braised Alberta Beef Short Ribs. The Vanessa Vineyards Syrah (BC) was the perfect wine to pair with the beef short ribs.
We tried a couple of their desserts, loved the Double Chocolate Cake over the Caramelized Lemon Tart, chocolate wins hands down for me almost always.
This is a great spot to enjoy a drink or two along with some dishes whether on your own or with a friend.
