Tasting at the New Prospect Point Cafe

After a $3.5 million renovation completed in late summer, the iconic Prospect Point café located at Prospect Point in Stanley Park re-opened.

west coast seafood chowder

Once operational, I had a chance to taste thru the menu and try some of their new dishes. Loved the west coast seafood chowder with fresh local seafood | creamy dill and full size served with garlic toast.

Grilled Salmon

Tomato & bocconcini salad

The Flat iron steak quesadilla with mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms & onion chipotle sour cream was another tasty option, as was the Grilled Salmon with roasted potato hash, arugula; and the Tomato & bocconcini salad with roasted tomato, garlic crostini arugula, olives, pickled red onion.

Apple Crisp

Out of a few desserts that I tried, my favourite was the Apple Crisp with vanilla ice cream.

Patio

The venue offers a bar and grill (plus beautiful patio in the back), cafe, gourmet ice cream stall in the summer, trading post for souvenir and branded goods.

The Capilano Group of Companies has owned and operated the venues at Prospect Point since 2014, after acquiring from The Daniel Group.

Prospect Point is located at 5601 Stanley Park Drive and on twitter @Prospect_Point . Its cafe and trading post are open from 10 am to 6 pm while the bar and grill is open from 11 am to 6 pm during the winter months.
