Filling a void in the Fraserhood neighborhood, owners Alex Kyriazis and Ari Demosten, set out to open a bar that is food primary and drinks forward to be a place that is community focussed.
In this 1300 sq ft room seats 60 and there is plenty of seating at tables as well as the bar. The room is beautifully done up with wood throughout, Alex Kyriazis also owns a design and fabrication company which did the construction here.
The casual comfort food program is run by Executive Chef Marc Kalvari (formerly at The Boathouse and other eateries) and his Sous Chef Noah Bogdonov.
I tried one of their specialty cocktails along with a few of their dishes.
Negroni with Bombay, sweet vermouth, Campari and an orange twist
Fraserhood Pasta a light tasting pasta with penne, Sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, shallots, garlic, Dijon, cream and herbs
Blackened Chicken Sandwich with a mango salsa, Avocado with half fries/ half salad
Sticky Toffee Pudding
There are 8 beers on tap along with a selection of beer by the bottle, plus cocktails and wine available from the bar. The food menu features a selection of hand helds, salads and other dishes.
