On a mission to try some of their Authentic South Indian dishes, my friend Zahra and I savoured the flavours from start to finish. Specializing in dosas and Tandoor dishes they also serve some spicy Indo-Chinese dishes as well. I started off with a refreshing Mango Lassi; and then we both shared the Sizzling Tandoori Chicken that was served on a bed of veggies followed by the spicy Indo-Chinese Chlli Fish.
The All in One Uthappam with vegetables, cottage cheese, cilantro was a tasty dish; as was the Lamb Dosa that was tender and flavourful; we also tried the Madrasi Style Special Dosa.
The Flakey Tandoori Roti and the Butter Chicken, were both outstanding, and I can’t wait to return for more of both.
The Chicken Biriyani was a good dish to share, had some of their Garlic Naan as well as the Malabari Parotta.
For dessert, we tried several. I loved the Ras Malai and Carrot Halwa, as well as the Kesari which was a tasty semolina and bright yellow in appearance. We also tried the Gulab Jamun and Sweet Pongal.
The menu is vast with many dishes to choose, many are great for sharing too. Their are over 100 different dosas on offer with all sorts of fillings and combinations to tickle your fancy at this one of a kind restaurant, a true gem on the East side worthy of your discovery.
