With a passion for cooking delicious cuisine, Owner/Chef Le Chi has recently opened her own restaurant in Kitsilano to offer diners a taste of traditional Vietnamese flavors in a contemporary and modern style.
One thing they have learned is that fresh ingredients make good food. For that reason, they have sourced only the freshest produce and products to use in their dishes. They are also committed to doing their part to be environmentally sustainable and source organic and locally wherever possible. The menu is always changing to keep up with the seasons and changing seasonal ingredients that they can find.
Chef Chi won runner up on the second season of Masterchef Vietnam this past year. On the show, she showcased her knowledge of different foods and cultures while sticking to traditional Vietnamese flavors and dishes. Since her success on Masterchef, Chef Le Chi has published her debut book “Modern Vietnamese Flavors” with two books currently in the works.
I have tried several of their dishes along with a refreshing non-alchoholic house-made Ginger beer drink; along with the delicious Crispy Fresh Duck Rolls with a tasty sauce for dipping! The Chicken Wings with tamarind and fish sauce glaze were perfect for one; and the Caramelized Shrimp an incredible dish with onions, and a delicious sauce of tamarind and garlic was one of my favourite dishes along with the Duck Salad, served cold, colourful and flavourful with shredded duck and vegetables. I also had the dessert option of the day which was a Tapioca and rice pudding with bananas.
