Husband-and-wife team Mauricio, the head brewer, and Alicia, the architect behind the brewery’s design started their brewery this past August. Located in the Olympic Village neighborhood just South of 2nd Avenue.
At Faculty Brewing, they strive to create an open and collaborative environment where visitors can learn about and understand how craft beer is made.
Mauricio toured me around the establishment where I had a chance to learn so much more about the Faculty Brewery operations from their brewing process to the beer offerings and so much more.
They are a 7 barrel, 1450 square-foot brewery with 6 fermentors and 6 bright beer tanks. There is a 28-seat tasting room is situated within the brewery, with four taps to choose from. They change our taps weekly, so we recommend stopping by often to check out what we’re pouring.
I then enjoyed a Tasting flight of Blonde ale, Minzeweizen, Chinook pale ale and the Oddity Kombucha.
The tasting room at Faculty Brewing is located at 1830 Ontario Street in Vancouver. They are open Monday – Friday from 2pm – 11pm, and Saturday – Sunday 11am – 11pm.
