Feast of Fields Celebrates 50 on Sept 11

Chef

One of my favourite foodie events of the year is about to celebrate their 50th. This year FarmFolk CityFolk’s, Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields fundraiser will be held on Sunday, September 11th at Laurica Farm and Fraser Common Farm (combined venue).

Described as a gourmet wandering harvest festival, FarmFolk CityFolk’s Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields is the culinary event of the summer season. With a wine glass and linen napkin in hand, guests stroll across a farmers field, traveling from tent to tent, to taste the local creations from over 60 BC restaurants, wineries, distilleries and breweries. This gourmet picnic highlights the connections between farmer and chef, field to table, and farm folk and city folk.

This year’s Gold event is sure to be full of history, innovation, creativity and connection. To celebrate the 50th event, Feast of Fields returns to one of the original host farm sites, Fraser Common Farm, a community farm that has been cooperatively owned and managed for nearly 40 years and was host of the one of the first Feast of Fields. Fraser Common Farm is teaming up with neighbour Laurica Farms to provide a stunning backdrop for guests to wander, taste, sip and enjoy the very best of the region.

Check out my recap from Feast of Fields that I attended last year, hungry yet?

Tickets are available online here. Guests traveling from downtown Vancouver can hop on the Feast bus that will take them directly to the farm and return home. Tickets for the bus are available online.
