With pasta on my mind, and a yearning to visit a neighborhood that I hadn’t been to in awhile, Justin joined me as we ventured to Deep Cove for some house-made pasta. Chef Erick Kauko leads the kitchen making all their pasta from scratch which is then served here in the restaurant as well as packaged and sold at markets around the city. They specialize in using a selection of grains and different pastas such as spelt, farro and others.
We shared a small size of the tasty Chickpea and Roasted Carrots salad ($5 small). I loved the Farro shells ($15) with mushrooms, hazelnuts, baby kale, with sherry-apple cider cream sauce; equally as the Penne ($14) Pancetta garlic, tomato, chilis, basil, Pecorino that Justin had.
You will find a selection of appetizers, salads which come in small and large, sandwiches, along with the notable pastas. On the beverages side there is a full espresso bar along with other cold drinks. I am looking forward to trying some of their sandwiches on a future visit.
