With my friend Max’s craving for Long’s famous Xiao Long Bao, I joined him to share some of these Shanghainese soup dumplings, which then turned into a delicious eating adventure.
We shared the delicious Xiao Long Bao (XLB) or as they are also known which are worth standing in the long line to dine, they are house-made, hand crafted throughout the day. Next was the Beef Rolls an almost like thin pancake filled with 5 spice beef; and then it was on to the outstanding Shanghai pan-fried noodles.
The restaurant has been running for over 15 years, the service is quick and the line-up moves fairly fast. The menu is vast and filled with many Shanghainese specialities including the soup dumplings, wine chicken, noodle dishes and so much more. If you are dining solo expect to be sharing one of the large round tables, if you are a large party expect to wait awhile unless you start your dining adventure right before they open.
