On Thursday, March 10, 2016, Dining Out For Life returns for its 22nd year in support of individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses in B.C.

Since 1994, hundreds of participating restaurants from Whistler to White Rock and across the Lower Mainland have donated 25 per cent of one day’s food sales to local, registered not-for-profits Friends For Life and A Loving Spoonful.

Friends For Life and A Loving Spoonful offer wellness programs, support services and home-delivered meals free of charge to people living with HIV/AIDS and other, co-existing illnesses. Together, they:

Offer nutritional counselling and meal planning, as well as 60+ support therapies including therapeutic massage, naturopathy, music therapy and yoga

Provide end-of-life care to home-bound clients

Have delivered over 110,000 meals per year to people affected by HIV/AIDS in Metro Vancouver and surrounding regions

With dozens of participating restaurants, Dining Out For Life is British Columbia’s largest hospitality fundraiser. Over the last two decades, Dining Out For Life has raised upwards of $3 million with 100 per cent of the proceeds underwriting the work of these two worthy charities.

Join thousands of people across the Lower Mainland as we make a difference right here in our community, one bite at a time!
