This is where ingredients come to play, where the chefs create wonderous dishes, small plates, bold in flavour. Chef Kris Barnholden and Eryn Dorman co-own this somewhat hidden gem, Kris runs the kitchen and his dinner menu is filled with a selection of snacks and small plates, while Eryn runs the bar and his wine list is notable, filled with interesting natural and bio-dynamic wines.
I had the Trout Rillette ($5), carrot, dill; followed by the stunning Flatbread ($7), sunflower, yogurt, beets, rosehip, drizzled with wildflower honey. Next it was one of the small plates, the Broccoli ($9), pumpkin, and fresh house-made cheese, this dish needed a bit more flavour; I finished with the outstanding Chocolate Anarchy ($9) flourless chocolate cake, sponge toffee, chocolate egg filled with caramel Crème.
I am looking forward to visiting for lunch to try the Roast Cauliflower as well as the Chickpea lamb dishes, I am also looking forward to their soon to launch brunch service.
