I toured this new eatery today that is located downtown in the Tinseltown/Crosstown area. Owned by Tai Keattivanichvily, he is no stranger to Thai cooking in this city as he also owns the highly successful Bob Likes Thai Food restaurants which have become quite popular on the Westside and in East Van. With his foray into the downtown area, this new eatery is much larger with 99 seats has a full bar and is more sophisticated while remaining casual, focussing on Thai flavours.

 

The lunch menu is fairly small with 5 dishes, where the dinner menu features a wide selection of Thai tapas and this is where Tai and his chefs get to play. Watch for many unique Thai dishes to follow over the next few months. You will also find Thai inspired cocktails such as the Bourbon of Bankock Cocktail.

I enjoyed the Beef Panang Curry for lunch with coconut milk based red curry with beef, basil, lime leaf with rice and organic greens.

The restaurant is open Monday – Saturday with lunch, snacks and drinks in the afternoon and dinner daily. Closed Sundays.
