This new Italian eatery is situated in English Bay where the focus is on pastas and pizzas along with some appetizers including house baked focaccia, meatballs and desserts. The dishes are perfect for dining solo or for sharing with a friend. I had the house-baked Foccacia & Filone ($5) with an addictive herb butter! This was followed by their Classic Meatballs ($9) which were made with beef in a rich tomato sauce.
Next was the delicious Ravioli ($16) filled with butternut squash, crispy sage, brown butter and walnuts; followed by the outstanding Gnocchi ($19) with smoked chicken, pork belly, mushroom ragout and celery root crisps. My friend Sheryl and I then shared one of the pizzas, the Funghi Pizza ($16) topped with roasted garlic, white sauce, mushrooms, and arugula.
For dessert we shared the Flourless Chocolate Cake ($8) , on the drinks side of the menu you will find a line-up of sorbet martinis, espresso cocktails, specialty coffees, some classic cocktails along with beer and wine on tap. I am looking forward to returning soon to try their weekend brunch.
