Trio of Tacos

Trio of Tacos

With an off the beaten track location, down a back alley in the heart of Gastown, this tiny taco shop is full of energy. I was not a fan after trying their tacos the first go around when they opened well over two years ago, lessons learned and things have changed. On my 2nd go around recently, all was a 360 degree turn where the service by Kyle was top notch and the tacos divine, each full of wonderous flavours.  I had a trio of tacos (3 for $8), the Austin with saucey beef brisket, fried onions and salsa; the Encino with spicy hand-pulled roast chicken, ranch and salsa; and the Pez with white fish, chimmichurri, slaw and tomatillo sauce, all outstanding.

They are all about cheap beer and proving eats and drinks of value to their customers. It’s a fun spot where the servers/kitchen crew ask you for your name and with a bit of camaraderie welcome you in a community sort of way. The menu is simple offering up a selection of tacos, bowls, the street dog which is their version of a hot dog, quesadilla and a burrito.  If you are looking for a late night spot for tacos or a drink or two day or night, this is the place you will want to go.
