Burger Challenge Winners

The Vancouver Foodster Best Burger Challenge was a huge success featuring creations from restaurants around greater Vancouver. Each restaurant featured their burger creation from October 22 – November 15, 2015. Our media judging panel determined the ultimate winners of the challenge, and this was quite the task as each judge who tasted each creation with a rigorous process based on taste, originality/uniqueness and presentation/appearance.

Our Media judges for this challenge were: Sean Neild, Mary Sheridan and Corey Basso.

Description:  Three Sliders, consisting of 1 each of Marinated Battered Chicken/Seasoned Prawns/Canadian Beef, stacked with Lettuce, Lotus Root, Caramelized Sweet Pork Belly with Onion and Cashew Nuts, Fresh Shredded Green Mango, Sprouts and Green Onion served in homemade Beet/Spinach/Pumpkin buns with Red/Green/Yellow Curry Coconut Milk sauce. Garnished with Dill Pickles and Pickled peppers.

The Bacon Bad

Description:  It is a bacon and cheddar cheese stuffed 6oz patty with more bacon and more cheese on top of the patty. Under the patty we put a maple bacon jam glaze and caramelized. The burger is then topped with L.T.O.P(lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle).

Description: The Limited Edition No Bull Smoke House on a whole wheat bun with local field tomatoes and green leaf lettuce, sauteed red onions and mushrooms, vegan bacon, vegan mayo and vegan chipotle mayo, smokey barbecue sauce, Swiss cheese and our famous No Bull patty. Served with baked shoestring fries.  It might be the greatest veggie burger on the planet…
