Advice: Whole pizza pies to eat in or takeout.
The latest in new pizzerias joins a lineup of top notch spots with a very good crispy edged crust. Gragham Marceau is the chef behind the dough so to speak, he is the pizza man having worked his way up the pizza ladder at pizzerias around the city, he knows the ingredients and flavours and he is creating some mean pizza pies.
I indulged in a few, my favourites were the delicious House-made Lamb Sausage Pizza ($16) with kale and roasted red grapes on a white sauce; and the outstanding Bacon & Potato Pizza ($16) which was flavourful with double smoked bacon, Yukon gold potato, roasted onions, oregano, parmesan, provolone and white sauce. The other pizza I tried was a classic Margarita ($13) with mozzarella, basil, olive oil and red sauce; all pizzas made with fresh dough! The menu is fairly simple, there is a line-up of pizzas, along with beer, wine and some cocktails to round it all out. The ambiance is hip, with a great soundtrack of tunes, wooden walls, seating for 25 and a very nice wooden bar with views of the open pizza kitchen.
This is a spot that is guaranteed to wake up the neighborhood, watch for the pizza features.
