UPDATED 4/8/16 BUSINESS HAS CLOSED
4384 Fraser St. Vancouver
Advice: Closed Mondays.
For the many who either have wheat allergies or are seeking gluten-free baked goods, owners, Shael and Tobin opened up this cute gluten free bakeshop and café a couple of months ago. Shael, who was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, was forced to adapt her baking skills by learning to use gluten free flours and alternative ingredients in her recipes, she worked as head baker previously at another gluten free bakeshop in the area. This café is bright and charming filled with tables and chairs that will remind you of eating at grandmas, they are fun magazine for reading and art adorning the walls.
The bakeshop is filled with all sorts of treats, from tarts to muffins to cakes and lots and lots of cookies that look so good, you are going to want to try them all. I had one of their delicious Chocolate Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches, along with one of the Flatbread Pizzas topped with goat cheese and walnuts. They are also making frozen treats such as their Popsicles made with coconut milk and fruit, I had the Raspberry Lemonade, they also make many other flavours.
There is a full line-up of Elysian Coffee espresso beverages, ice tea, a kids menu, and lots more tempting treats, I cannot wait to return to try their Comfort Cookies as well as the Cornflake Marshmallow Crunch which look divine.
