Located in the heart of the Oakridge neighborhood, the dairy focussed café has Chef Menajem Israel Peretz creating flavourful dishes from soups, to salads and sandwiches to desserts along with dinner specialties and Sunday brunch. Everything in the cafe is made from scratch and all the baking is done in-house. I was in for lunch where I had a delicious Quinoa Salad ($12) filled with eggplant, cucumber, red onion, and more; along with a Smoked Salmon Sandwich ($10) a baguette filled with smoked salmon, cream cheese and red onion. I also had one of the delicious Chocolate Croissants ($3.50) and a JJ Bean espresso ($3.50).

You can get fresh baked Challahs on Friday’s, and I am sure you will be able to order special meals to celebrate all the Jewish holidays. For Jews and non-Jews alike this is a restaurant you are going to want to visit in the neighborhood. I am looking forward to a return visit to try their brunch menu for their Challah French Toast and Cheese Blintzes.
