Tasting Brunch at Jules Bistro

jules brunch 1

Last Saturday I was joined by my friend Kenji Maeda for brunch at this classic French bistro located in the heart of Gastown. We sat inside peering out the open window with the view of their patio and the nearby shops. Brunch here starts with a complimentary basket of baguette and squares of butter.

Brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am-2:30pm the actual brunch menu is fairly small, there is also a lunch menu making up the majority of dishes but since brunch starts rather late you will have the choice of some breakfast offerings and more lunch offerings as well as dessert which is a must here, they have a selection of different set desserts as well as dessert specials each week. It’s a classic French bistro and pretty much everything served is home-made by Chef/Owner Emmanuel, make sure you meet Mikel the Manager who is quite the historian, you are in for a real good chat and treat.

You can make reservations by phone at 604-669-0033. Jules Bistro is located at 216 Abbott Street, Gastown in Vancouver, you can follow them on twitter @JulesBistro
