One of my favourite cuisines is Mexican, I love the flavours of the varied types of dishes from the many different regions that make up their culinary landscape. In recent years, many new Mexican eateries have opened serving dishes from their home regions, we are fortunate in this city. Owned by chefs Rafael and Bernice who are both equally passionate about serving Mexican inspired dishes from their home country. Both are experience chefs who have worked in the top kitchens in Vancouver restaurants for the past few years before deciding to open their own.
I had the delicious Pollo Torta ($8.75) with pulled chicken, cheddar cheese, avocado, tomato, chipotle onions and cilantro along with one of their house baked Conchas a delicious bun topped with a crunchy icing sugar of sorts and a Cortado made with Moja coffee. The menu features a selection of Tortas, Tacos, Quesadillas, Soups, Salads, baked goods along with a full espresso beverage line-up.
Watch for an expanded menu down the road featuring different types of mole, and more specialty dishes.
