Since I love ice cream, I am always looking to try the new scoop shops and I am also quite curious on the flavours offered. Josie Fenton and her husband Blair Casey founded this Kitsilano scoop shop which stands on using local ingredients, of the highest quality and are community driven. For both of them it was their first venture outside of their teaching and finance careers yet for both their careers have fueled their passion for making some of the best ice cream around.

On the first visit I had a scoop of their Coffee Ice Cream and on the 2^nd visit I had the Brown Butter Snickerdoodle and the vegan Coconut Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream!  They offer a selection of what they call their “Keepers” which features their most popular flavours; along with the “Seasonal Flings” where you will find special seasonal ice creams based on what’s being grown locally or what’s current which may include a seasonal beer or other type of offering. They also offer an enticing selection of toppings that’s going to further your tastebud exploration. I am excited to see what this dream team comes up with in terms of flavours in the months to come, and I’m betting that if you have a favourite flavour and want to see it on the menu, you may want to follow them on twitter and pass along your suggestions.
