Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Vancouver has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.
Here is the twenty third of many places that I have visited recently.Soirette Macarons & Tea is located on Pender Street in Coal Harbour.
My mom joined me and we had their High Tea service for $35 per person. I had the Matcha Tea and my mom had the Lavender Earl Grey Tea. They have a wide selection of 30 teas and you can smell them and then choose from any one of their teas.
We were then invited to the Macaron display case to choose one macaron each which was then served to us along with the sweets selection. I chose the Almondine and my mom had the Rocher.
A three tiered plate filled with an assortment of Savories on the bottom plate that included the Thyme and Chicken Pot Pie, Cranberry and Turkey Sandwich, Carrot & Parsnip soup bowl, Wild BC smoked salmon with green pea pancake and pickled quail egg, Feta & Quinoa salad roll. On the middle tier, the lovely Mini Date & Walnut Scones Brandy Butter, Soirette Cranberry & Anise jam. On the top tier are their delicious Desserts including the yummy Chestnut chocolate mousseline trifle, Carrot cake with cream cheese and pumpkin mousse, Scottish Shortbread, Rosemary and Cardamom truffle, Lemon meringue tart, and our Roche and Almondine macarons.
My thoughts – From the assortment of savouries I loved the Thyme and Chicken Pot Pie, Cranberry and Turkey Sandwich, and the Carrot & Parsnip soup The home-made Date & Walnut scones were delicious with the brandy butter butter (topped with mini flowers) and cranberry and anise jam. From the assortment of sweets, I loved the Carrot cake with cream cheese and pumpkin mousse, Chestnut chocolate mousseline trifle, Lemon meringue tart, Almondine Macaron, Scottish Shortbread, Rosemary and Cardamom truffle.
