Yearning for a taste of barbq and beef ribs downtown, this saloon of sorts features Texas style barbq, smoked with Oak and Cherry woods. From barbq ribs with all the fixins to brisket, pulled pork and more. I visited solo and ate my way through a half order of Beef Back Ribs ($22) these double smoked Texas style ribs were basted with maple soy red sauce which I loved, the meat was tender and full of flavour on a large platter, the fixins included an outstanding navy bean with smoked bacon in a glass jar, celeriac slaw and a huge serving of Kennebec potato fries, finishing off the platter was a delicious house-made barbq sauce as well as a house-made ketchup.  The platter was accompanied by a plate of their Hush Puppies and Corn Bread with honey butter.

The restaurant is a meat lovers paradise and for those who love barbq you will be in heaven. There is a large selection of small plates if you are looking to go that route, choose a few and share with friends, better yet if you are going to do some sharing with friends try the Half Stop Barbecue for $60 which gets you Beef Back Ribs, St. Louis Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, Smoked Chicken Leg, Hush Puppies and Honey Butter or their top of the line Full Stop Barbecue $95 Beef Back Ribs, St. Louis Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, Smoked Chicken Leg, Hush Puppies and Honey Butter. The bar menu features the Buckstop Caesar which is it’s practically a meal in a glass so I hear. It’s carefully concocted with our house barbecue sauce, smoked Serrano infused vodka, and of course garnished with bacon and smoked Gouda. Additionally there is a wide selection of cocktails, beer, wine and bourbon! They also offer a full on brunch service on weekends featuring a dish that I cant wait to try on my next visit the Cornbread Waffle and Pulled Pork Sliders with a Pomegranate Molasses Barbecue sauce, apple cream & chips.
