I have fond memories from visiting the neighborhood diner years ago for a good old fashioned milk shake that was served in a large metal cup with a spoon and a straw. In the Burnaby Heights neighborhood I rediscovered the old pastime recently with a couple of visits to this popular soda fountain and confectionary which was filled with moms and their children enjoying their yummy treats.

Pumpkin Pie Milkshake
On my first visit I had a classic Coffee Milk Shake ($6) which was delicious and my most recent visit I had a Pumpkin Pie Milkshake ($6) topped with pie crumble! YUM! All of their shakes are made with Birchwood Dairy ice cream and they can pretty much make whatever you fancy even if it’s not on the menu board.
You will find ice cream, soda fountain specialties like floats and malts and an assortment of vintage candy, bottled pop as well as malts, floats, egg cream, sundaes with a large selection of natural home-made fountain syrups for making those unique flavoured shakes and such.
This is the spot to treat yourself, your friends or your kids!
