On Sunday September 15 at 2pm, the Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Area (MPBIA) will host their annual Smoking Sausage BBQ Cook-off where once again you feel your stomach start to grumble! Sample generous locally crafted sausages from Eight ½ restaurant lounge, The Cascade Room, Mr. Brownstone, and Thyme to Indulge Bistro until 5:00PM. These BBQ masters will be competing for the title of best BBQ sausage, bragging rights and a trophy! Participation is $5 donation to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Shift into a more sustainable lifestyle at the Autumn Shift Festival, hosted by the Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Area (MPBIA) on Main Street! This fun, free, family friendly event celebrates the shift in seasons and attitudes towards sustainability, urban gardening, healthy living and community in Vancouver.

Come out on Sunday September 15th from 12:00PM – 6:00PM, on Main Street between Broadway and 7th Ave, including the laneway one block west of Main Street and Broadway. Experience an array of interactive booths, a farmer’s market, children’s activities, various vendors, live music and free popcorn and cotton candy. Attendance is estimated at approx. 25,000 people enjoying the Festival on that day!
