Advice: The platters are great value, call ahead for take-out.

Pide Platter

Longing for authentic Turkish cuisine in the city, I have happened upon a family run spot that is making a selection of vegi and meat Pide along with other traditional specialties. Having visited a couple of times, I’m quite fond of their Pide which is quite different (served flat then topped as opposed to being served filled with air from the oven) than I had previously. I have had the delicious Pide Platter ($10.35) Pide topped with ground beef, onion & pomegranate, served with fries, hummus and salad.

Zaatar Manakish Bread

I have also had the Pide ($8.95) with Spinach, Feta Cheese, Mushroom and Pomegranate Sauce along with the Zaatar Manakish Bread ($2.95) which was so good.

There menu is vast from traditional Pizzas in the woodstone oven topped with Chicken Shawerma on the Sofra Chicken, to Beef Donair on the “Vancouver”; there is also a selection of platters along with shared platters featuring Falafel and Dolma and Kebabs. They have Wraps and Kebab Wraps along with a selection of sides such as Pita Chips and Samosa. Rounding up the menu are a selection of traditional desserts.
